The office of Member of Parliament (MP) for Adaklu constituency in the Volta region, Kwame Agbodza has handed over some two newly built Community Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds for two farming communities within the constituency.
As part of the MP's quest to improve the health system in the area, he championed the two facilities with two unit nurses' quarters attached to Adaklu Have centre, other neighbouring communities, Adaklu Dzakpo and Adaklu Vodze are also to benefit from the facility to ease the long journey to Ho to access health services.
The second compound at Adaklu Amuuzudeve is also to serve nearby residents in Adaklu Blidokofe, Adaklu Gavorkope and Adaklu Segbale and it comes with no nurse's residency.
A team led by National Democratic Congress (NDC), Adaklu constituency Chairman, Samuel Atomty Dorfe handed over the facilities to the District Health Directorate on Wednesday 29, April 2020.
In the brief handing over ceremony, and observing the various protocols and the president's directives, the District health director, Mr Charles Azagba, the health workers, chiefs and elders , and the people of the communities thanked the Member of Parliament for his tremendous efforts in the health sector.
The team entreated the beneficiaries to observe and maintain the culture of maintenance. Mr. Samuel Atomy indicted that, similar project is ongoing and at about 95% completion at Adaklu Wumenu.
