Residents of Ziavi-Woenanyo, a farming  community in the Ho Municipality of the Volta region have called the government through the office of the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Kofi Pi-Bansah to get the community connected onto the national grid and among other developmental plans.

In an interview with Volta Premier FM, the Dutor, Togbe Abraham Nortsu stressed on their challenges and appealed to the government and stakeholders to aid them for quality education, electricity, health and potable water.

Accoding to him, there are no schools in the community, a situation that forced children of school going age to walk for  miles to a nearby community, Ziavi-Lume to have access to at least a basic education, this according to some parents, the lives of their worlds are not safe, most especially the girl child.

The situation has also led some children bellow the age of 15 to rent rooms and lives on their own in the community where there is a school.
The community also has no electricity power, which affects their daily activities and eventually affects the children's academic journeys.

On health, the community has no health centre to facilitate the resident, the people are forced to travel on motorbikes from the village to Ho to access health care. A situation which the Dutor described " we are been neglected".

The community has no source of portable water, while they depend on an aged borehole, constructed in the past two decades, they are appealing to the authorities to put Ziavi-Woenanyo unto the assembly's developmental initiatives.

The Municipal Chief Executive has promised to attend to the needs of the community.
