President of the republic, Nana Akufo Addo said he wants every Ghanaian child to attend school beacuse education is the equalizer of opportunity.
According to him, education has made him who he is today, president of the country, hence the need to prioritise education and urge children to go to school.
"Education is the equalizer of opportunity, I am in this position as the President of the republic because of education and I want every child to attend school not just because of what they learn but the life experiences they will gain" he said.
He was speaking at the 10th anniversary of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Volta capital, Ho on Friday, July 15 2022, where he also commissioned an ultra-modern hostel facility for the University, as well as inspected construction of phase two of UHAS
The president encouraged children to have confidence "i want each of them to look into the mirror in the morning, every morning and tell themselves they can achieve anything they dream of", he added "I want you to be confident".
He however advised parents to take care of their children because they are the future of the country.
Nana Akufo Addo also mentioned that, his government will not be relent on it's efforts to provide quality and affordable education and equal opportunity for Ghanaians.
He made emphasis that, the Free Senior High School initiative will not be scrapped.
